Pa Leeth’s Delicious Meatloaf

 

INGREDIENTS:

1-1/4 lb lean ground beef

1/4 lb sausage

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 egg

3 slices bread, finely chopped (1-1/2 cups, lightly packed)

1 small onion chopped (1/4 cup)

1 green bell pepper chopped (1/4 cup)

1/2 cup ketchup, chili sauce, or barbecue sauce.—I prefer Sweet Baby Ray’s Hickory & Brown Sugar Barbeque Sauce

 

PRECEDURE:

Heat oven to 350 deg.F. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except barbeque sauce. Spread mixture in ungreased 9x5-inch loaf pan, or shape into 9x5-inch pan.

Spread barbecue sauce over top.

Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Drain meat loaf

Let stand for 5 minutes; remove from pan.
