Downing Chapel is trying to reach the world for Jesus Christ. With your help we can and will make a difference. Last year Downing Chapel sent over $800.00 to the people of India. We began by organizing what we called, "A Christmas Miracle for India." The money we collected provided clothes and food for the widows and orphans of India who other wise wouldn't have had much of a Christmas to celebrate.

This year God has led us to help one of our churches here in America that is struggling. If God leads you to do so come a be a part of our outreach ministry.

      Do you think you would like to help Downing Chapel out and contribute to our "Around the World for Christ" Fund but you can't seem to find the extra money? Why not take Downing Chapel's "Coffee Can Challenge?" Just throw your loose change into a coffee can and earmark it DOWNING CHAPEL. When the can gets full take it to your bank and exchange the coins for a check made out to Downing Chapel.
     This is the same principle the March of Dimes was founded upon. After World War II America sought a cure for Polio. Polio was a dreaded childhood disease which caused thousands of children to become crippled. People all across America saved their dimes to donate to the fund. Because of the March of Dimes a cure was eventually found! The disease was conquered and was no longer a threat and shouts of victory could be heard all across our country. Parents no longer had to live in fear that one of their children would be crippled by Polio.
     Ours is a noble cause also. Downing Chapel is putting into practice what the Good Samaritan done when he bandaged up the wounds of him who had been beaten and robbed and left to die. Likewise we are seeking wounded and lost souls with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and offering help to those in need around the world. We cannot do this alone but with your help we can and we will win the ultimate triumph so help us God!
