During his early ministry Reverend Henry Leeth was called upon to hold revivals at various churches many of them located down in the southern part of Ohio commonly known as 'The Hill Country.'
There was one particular church down in the hills that had a hard time keeping a Pastor because some of the local farm boys, who were actually young men, would come to the church and grab the minister and take him outside and give him a good whipping. These young men had muscles hardened by farm work and most ministers were not a match for them. Every minister who took the job of being Pastor of this church would soon throw his hands up and quit after having a confrontation with these young men.
The church decided they wanted to have a revival so the church board got in contact with Reverend Henry Leeth to see if he would come and hold it for them. Reverend Leeth knew the reputation this church had but feeling led of God he decided to go and preach the revival for them anyway.
Several nights later after the revival had begun Reverend Leeth saw three big farm boys enter the church and take a seat on the back row as he was preaching. He knew why they had come so he began praying in his heart asking the Lord what He wanted him to do. The Lord said, "Just keep on preaching and I will handle these young men!"
As he was preaching the three young men rose from their seats and began walking to the front of the church. Reverend Henry Leeth said when the men got within a few feet of the pulpit his arms felt as big as balloons and he knew God was there in power! All at once the Holy Ghost literally blew these three young men to the back of the church and pinned them against the wall. Reverend Leeth said the hair on these young men's heads was standing on end and they looked as if they had seen a ghost!
When the Spirit finally let them loose they ran out of the church house as fast as they could never to be seen again. When the people of the church saw what had happened, revival broke out in full force and people from all over the hills came night after night to the meeting!
